Of course they didn't get the idea from this idea. It's just a coincidence. It's a french ad advertising a flight by the Pakistani international company.
The WTC ad is a creepily literal foreshadowing, but for people to even joke about an association btw. Pakistan and 9/11 ("makes me wonder if they were planning 9/11 since 1979") is a very prejudicial generalization. Pakistan had nothing to do with 9/11.
My first flight from Paris to NYC was on PIA... and I was welcomed in JFK by Reagan (well, his mugshot on the wall at the customs to be more accurate).
PS : Bin Laden was inspired by a plane hijacking in the mid nineties (they wanted to crash it on the Eiffel Tower but the pilot fooled them into believing a pit stop was needed to reach the capital from Algiers - thus the need to learn how to fly)

I flew PIA from Paris to New York in the late 80's. I recall that I got a really cheap fare at the last minute. No alcohol was served on the plane but non Muslim passengers were offered packages containing an assortment of airplane sizes of wine and liquor as they boarded. Some passengers took several of these and got very drunk. There were kids running up and down the aisles throughout the whole flight. This was the first time I saw lots of people searched by security prior to boarding. The airline seemed to have its own security and several young men were roughly pulled out of line and ordered to open their suitcases which were ransacked in front of everyone while these security guards yelled at them. I think all luggage was checked right at the gate as we boarded, which was another odd detail. It was the weirdest flight (next to a Soviet Aeroflot flight I took in the 80's as well) that I've been on. I agree, that ad gives me the creeps. Great find.
